Amanda Doherty was born 1980 and raised in Cleveland, Ohio by very creative and loving parents. She followed in her parents footsteps early on, developing her drawing and painting skills up through college, and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida in 2002. Her dad’s love of genealogy and watercolor, coupled with her fascination with making things out of paper, foam board, and cardboard, influenced her desire to connect with the past through portraits and frames. Currently she resides with her husband Patrick and two crazy cats, Charlie and Mia, in their cozy Tennessee home.
